NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: CV RUNS AWAY WITH WIN OVER WILLIAMSON (2022-01-25) Northern Tier West Sports Report TIOGA JUNCTION — McGwire Painter scored 31 points for Cowanesque Valley as the Indians doubled up Williamson, topping the Warriors 64-32 in NTL boys crossover action Tuesday.
Painter had two 10-point quarters in his third 30-point game of the season as the Indians ran out to leads of 18-7 after the first quarter, 35-17 at the half and 51-27 after three quarters.
Fletcher Good (11) and Gage Tilton (10) joined Painter in double figures, and Tucker St. Peter added six points.
Carter Ackley scored four points and Glenn Barnes and Julian Francis each chipped in with a point.
Tristan Parker and Everett Dominick each scored eight points to lead Williamson, while Kristian Mizdail added six points in the loss.
CV improves to 6-9 with the win, while Williamson falls to 3-10.
The Indians are scheduled to host Athens and Williamson will host Canton, both on Thursday.
