The Warriors started the season 3-2 before hitting a six-game skid, won two of their next three, lost five straight and finally finished their season with a big 23-0 win over Bucktail.

Senior Gabe Kaufman provided the Warriors with much-needed leadership and also had the most productive season for Williamson, batting .441 with an on-base-percentage of .507. The centerfielder had 26 base hits .. including six doubles, three triples, a home run and a grand slam ..scored 21 runs and had 27 RBI.

Junior Erik Berkan collected 24 hits on the season, with five doubles, to bat .407 with a .500 OBP. The middle infielder/pitcher added 20 runs scored, 13 RBI and 10 walks, while also logging 35 innings on the mound to go 2-6 with a 4.20 ERA and 57 strikeouts.

A trio of freshmen, including Loagan Stickler (.424 BA, .446 OBP, 25H, 6-2B, 1-3B, 1-GS, 16R, 14 RBI), Noah Robinson (.386, .431, 22H, 22R, 9 RBI) and Jack Nolan (.257, .333, 9H, 2-2B, 7R, 5 RBI) received considerable playing time and showed good production.

Robinson also had the second-most innings pitched for Williamson, throwing 21 2/3 innings to go 2-1 with a 6.14 ERA and 16 K’s.

Cody Fleming had a solid season both at his left field spot and at the plate, batting .367 with a .475 OBP with 18 base hits .. 8-2B, 3-3B .. 14 runs scored and 17 RBI, as did senior third-baseman Devin O’dell, who hit .317 and had a .379 OBP, 19 hits, 13 runs scored and 11 RBI.

Kaufman and O’dell were the lone seniors on Williamson’s roster, as the Warriors will return a majority of their production and will look to build on the experience that their young players received this season.
