COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: CALLAHAN DELIVERS 17 KILLS FOR UNCW IN LOSS (2022-11-07)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportWILMINGTON, NC — Wellsboro grad Caitlyn Callahan has enjoyed a stellar first season as a member of the University of North Carolina Wilmington volleyball team and recently recorded a season-high 17 kills in a Seahawk loss to Elon.
Callahan’s previous high of 12 kills came in an October 22nd loss to North Carolina A & T and the redshirt sophomore had 11 kills in a Seahawk win over William & Mary back in September.
Callahan has racked up 149 kills this season (1.66 K/S), good for third on the team, and leads the Seahawks with 88 blocks and is second with 205 points (2.28 PTS/S).
The Seahawks are 4-19 on the season and have a pair of matches against Hampton remaining, on November 12th and 13th.
