COLLEGE FOOTBALL: FORMER HORNET PIETROPOLA LEADS IUP INTO PSAC CHAMPIONSHIP (2022-11-10)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportINDIANA, PA — Wellsboro grad Collin Pietropola has helped lead his 19th-ranked IUP Crimson Hawks to an 8-1 record, a share of a division title and a spot in the upcoming PSAC Championship game.
IUP has benefited from consistency along the offensive line, giving up just four sacks this season. The Crimson Hawks have five offensive linemen making the case for all-conference consideration in 2022, including redshirt junior Pietropola.
As the center and anchor of the offensive line, Pietropola has helped IUP average 6.8 yards/play and 445 yards per game this season.
IUP topped Clarion last weekend to earn a share of the PSAC West, the program's 22nd division title, along with a spot in the conference championship game against Shepherd on Saturday.
