COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY: WILLIAMSON'S JULES JONES CONCLUDES JUNIOR SEASON AT D1 CANISIUS (2022-11-15)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportBUFFALO, NY — Williamson alum Jules Jones recently completed her junior season as a runner for the Canisius Women’s Cross Country team, finishing in the top-25 at the MAAC Championships and helping the Griffins to a 27th-place finish at the NCAA Division I Northeast Regionals.
At the MAAC Championship, fellow Griffins Marissa Silba (22:30.6) and Olivia Moran (22:37.7) finished 19th and 24th and Jones (22:40.5) finished 25th, giving Canisius three runners in the Top 25 at the Championships for the first time since 2010 and a sixth-place finish.
At the NCAA Division I Northeast Regional at Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx, the Griffin women finished 27th of 37 teams. Jones finished 162nd out of 250+ runners .. third among Canisius runners .. completing the 6K course in 23:15.1.
