Wellsboro senior Peyton McClure was named the NTL coaches’ Player of the Year, was the league’s all-state selection and is both the NTWSR Player and Defensive Player of the Year.  

Hornet Jack Poirier scored 18 goals and assisted on 19 more. The senior is the All-Tioga County Offensive Player of the Year.

Sophomore Alex Citrino had 13 assists for Wellsboro, scored five goals of his own and is the All-Tioga County Boys Soccer Newcomer of the Year.

The Hornets finished 15-4 and entered the District IV playoffs as the No. 3 seed. Junior Caden Smith scored 25 goals, had six assists and joins Citrino as a striker on the All-Tioga County Team. Along with the pair, North Penn-Liberty’s Brady Stetter (19 G, 1 A) and Williamson’s Trent Achey (13 G, 5 A) are All-Tioga County strikers.

Wellsboro’s Sam Rudy (18 G, 5 A) joins teammate Poirier as an All-Tioga County midfielder. Williamson’s Duncan Kerr (11 G, 9 A) and North Penn-Liberty’s Zack Wilcox (13 G, 12 A) round out the midfielders.

McClure is joined on the All-Tioga County defense by teammates Watson Feil and Ian Hoose, as well as Williamson duo Cody Peers and Robert Kipferl. 

Hornet keeper Aiden Gehman recorded nine shutouts on the season and is the All-Tioga County Goalie.
