ALL-TIOGA COUNTY GIRLS SOCCER TEAM ANNOUNCED (2022-11-21)

Northern Tier West Sports Report
TIOGA COUNTY — Progress was evident throughout the girls’ soccer season in the West this year, as Williamson, Wellsboro and North Penn-Mansfield each improved their record from last season, thanks to some outstanding, All-Tioga County-worthy performances.

The Lady Warriors won seven games a season ago and finished 10-8-1 this season, with a 4-7-1 mark in the NTL. While their offense was explosive .. scoring 44 goals on the year .. their defense and goalkeeping won them games and kept them in several close losses.

Keeper Ashley Woodring was a steady, exceptional presence in the net for Williamson. With 97 saves, four shutouts and only 24 goals allowed, Woodring, a sophomore, is the NTWSR All-Tioga County Girls Soccer Player of the Year.

Tori Stratton scored 11 goals for the Lady Warriors, including having two games with two goals and a hat trick in a win over Campbell-Savona. The sophomore also had four assists and is the All-Tioga County Girls Soccer Offensive Player of the Year.

Freshman Anna Lee made an immediate impact for Williamson, with nine goals and four assists, and is the All-Tioga County Girls Soccer Newcomer of the Year.

Wellsboro senior Rylie Boyce helped Wellsboro improve on their 2-14 record from a season ago, as the Lady Hornets went 5-7 in the league and 6-11-1 overall. Boyce is the All-Tioga County Girls Soccer Defensive Player of the Year.
