DISTRICT 4 SWIMMING: WELLSBORO SWIMMERS COLLECT MEDALS AT CHAMPIONSHIPS (2023-03-02)

WILLIAMSPORT — The Wellsboro swimming teams completed their seasons at Day Two of the District 4 Championships here Thursday, with several Hornets reaching the medal podium.

Hayne Webster earned a pair of bronze medals, taking third in both the 100 yard butterfly in 57.37 and in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:06.90 .. a six-second improvement on the senior’s personal best.

Freshman Makenna Robbins finished 5th in the 200 yard individual medley in 2:31.84 and 8th in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Junior Caralyn Warner placed 4th in the 100 yard backstroke in 1:05.68 and 9th in the 100 yard butterfly in 1:10.41.

Junior Madison Robbins was 5th in the 50 yard freestyle in 27.40 and 11th in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:17.82.

Junior Isobel Anderegg placed 5th in the 100 yard butterfly in 1:06.65 and 10th in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:17.71.

Freshman Kristina Belz finished 12th in the 200 yard individual medley in 3:00.45 and 13th in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:24.81.

The girls scored 99 points as a team and finished 9th, with Danville winning the title with 395 points. Webster finished 12th among 16 teams with 32 points as Central Columbia won the boys’ championship with 317 points.
