Williamson dealt with a couple key injuries during the season and finished 6-15, including eight losses by single digits, but a consistent force for the Lady Warriors’ and Head Coach Marissa Allen was guard Taylor Rae Jones. The junior averaged 13.8 points per game, handed out 2.2 assists and grabbed 2.6 offensive rebounds per game while scoring in double figures in all but three of Williamson’s games this year. That, along with her seven double-doubles, earns Jones the Offensive Player of the Year award. Her 6.2 defensive rebounds per game, 3.7 steals per game and 11 blocks also earns Jones the Defensive Player of the Year award .. making her a lock as the All-Tioga County Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

The North Penn-Liberty Lady Mounties finished 13-13 this season after a 12-10 regular season, a loss to Towanda in the NTL Showdown semis, a District 4 win over Millville and losses in the semifinals and the consolation game of the Class A playoffs. NPL Head Coach Tracy Gregory and his staff are the All-Tioga County Girls Basketball Coaching Staff of the Year. 

NPL freshman guard Haley Litzelman, the All-Tioga County Girls Basketball Newcomer of the Year, was instrumental to the Lady Mounties’ five-win improvement, averaging 9.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.1 steals per game with 54 three pointers.

Jones and Litzelman are joined on the All-Tioga County First Team by Jones’ teammate and fellow sophomore Olivia Meisner, as well as NP-Liberty senior Sidney Landis and Wellsboro sophomores Chloe Brandenburg and Paige Logsdon.

North Penn-Liberty seniors Elizabeth Ritchie and Jaclyn Nelson are on the All-Tioga County Second Team, along with North Penn-Mansfield juniors Addison Farrer and Mckenna Lightner and Cowanesque Valley sophomores Ashley Woodring and Ella Churchill.

Litzelman headlines our All-Tioga County Newcomer Team and is joined by Williamson freshman duo Maddi Jones and Kenna Thomas, NP-Mansfield freshman Kameron Lightner and first-year senior Arianna Thompson from NP-Liberty.
