Towanda followed up the eight-run first with another run in the second, before Williamson plated their pair of runs in the bottom of the third inning. 

Gracie Stephens singled to lead off the third, stole her way to third and scored on a Mikenna Buchanan single. Buchanan would score and Kenna Thomas and Payton Wheaton added hits in the inning.

Down 9-2, the Lady Warriors would give up one more run in the fourth inning before the teams played out the final three and a half innings scoreless.

Thomas finished with two hits for Williamson, and relieved Buchanan in the pitcher’s circle after the first inning and finished the game, throwing six innings and allowing two runs .. one earned .. with five strikeouts and a walk.

Buchanan, Gracie Stephens and Bailee Smith added hits for the Lady Warriors.

Williamson starts the season 0-1. They are scheduled to play at Wellsboro next Tuesday.
