NTL TRACK & FIELD: WELLSBORO BOYS AND GIRLS FINISH 4TH AND 7TH AT CHAMPIONSHIPS (2023-05-12)

ATHENS — Jonathan Carl and Annie Gehman won event titles at Friday’s NTL Championships, as the Wellsboro boys finished 4th overall and the Lady Hornets were 7th.

The boys’ squad scored 90 points to finish 4th, behind meet winner Wiiliamson’s 136 points, 

Carl won the 400 (51.29), was 5th in the 100 meter dash (11.91) and was on the 4x400 meter relay team with Jack Bryant, Jude Cuneo and Aden Tom that finished 7th (3:49.89).

Bryant, Aiden Gehman, Alex Citrino and Dillon Boyce finished 2nd in the 4x100 meter relay (45.92) and Cuneo, Max Macias, Henry Whitney and Tom were 6th in the 4x800 relay (9:35.80).

Kyle Mosher finished 2nd in the high jump (5-10), Aiden Gehman was 2nd in the long jump (20-03.25) and 3rd in the triple jump (40-11.50), Micaiah Fitch was 3rd in the long jump (19-11.25), Noah Morey was 3rd in the javelin (150-07) and Micah Vickery finished 3rd in the 110 meter hurdles (17.28), 4th in the 300 hurdles (45.14) and 7th in the high jump (5-04).

Watson Feil was 4th in the javelin (143-04), Spencer Wetzel was 6th in the pole vault (10-00) and Gabriel Carpenter was 7th (9-06), Morey was 7th in the discus (114-04), Boyce was 7th in the 200 meter dash (24.27), Cuneo was 8th in the 800 (2:15.38) and Macias was 8th in the 1600 (5:03.43).

On the girls’ side, Annie Gehman won the triple jump (34-08) and the Lady Hornets scored 46.5 points to finish 7th. Athens won the girls’ title with 154 points.

Gehman finished 3rd in the high jump (4-08) and 4th in the long jump (16-02.50) while Kristina Belz was 6th in the high jump (4-04) and 7th in the long jump (14-02.50) and Alyssa Bisbing was 7th in the triple jump (29-11).  

Grace Harlan placed 5th in the shot put (29-04), Sarah Seeling was 6th in the javelin (86-09), 7th in the 100 hurdles (18.51) and was on the 4x100 meter relay team with Lilah Peredes, Maddie Mascho and Katherine DeCamp that finished 7th (56.13), Liliana Cuneo was 8th in the 100 hurdles (18.97) and Hannah Gilmour was 8th in the discus (77-06.50).
