ATHENS’ BRONSON NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM GIRLS REGIONAL “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Bronson
had three first-place finishes, and a second-place finish to lead the
Lady Wildcats to the team title at the NTL Track & Field
Championships.
Bronson won the 1,600-meter run in a time of
5:35.56, and won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:26.1. She placed
second in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 12:44.78.
She teamed
with her sister, senior Emma Bronson, junior Thea Bentley, and freshman
Hughes to win the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 10:18.56.

WELLSBORO’S BROUGHT NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM BOYS REGIONAL “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”Brought hit .500 on the week and led the Hornets to three wins, including a district-qualifying 10-0 win over Towanda.
Brought
collected six hits in 12 at-bats, including one double and two home
runs, and had nine RBI and five runs scored. On the mound, he struck out
two in 1 2/3 innings of hitless relief.
Brought had a double,
two runs scored, and an RBI in Wellsboro’s come-from-behind, 9-7, upset
of Athens, then had a grand slam and six RBI in the win over Towanda.
