WILLIAMSON'S WELCH SIGNS TO RUN AT BLOOMSBURG (2023-06-11)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — Williamson’s Nathaniel Welch recently announced that he would be continuing his academic and athletic careers at Bloomsburg University as a member of the Huskies’ cross country and track & field teams.
Welch is coming off a senior track season that saw the future Husky win a State Championship as a member of Williamson’s 4x800 meter relay team. Welch was also 2nd in the 3200 at the NTL meet and 6th at Districts and finished 2nd at the NTL meet, 3rd at Districts and 20th at States in the 800.
As a junior runner for the Cowanesque Valley Cross Country team, Welch finished eighth at the NTL meet, 16th at Districts and 139th at States. He placed 9th at Districts this past season and finished 103rd at states.
