In addition to being a State Champion, each of the four runners excelled in their individual events as well. 

Kerr, a senior, earned a 4th-place finish in the 300 hurdles at Districts and was 11th at the State meet, while fellow-senior Welch was 2nd in the 3200 at the NTL meet and 6th at Districts and finished 2nd at the NTL meet, 3rd at Districts and 20th at States in the 800.

Cummings, a junior, was 2nd in the 800 at Districts and 14th at States and placed 2nd in the 1600 at NTL’s, while fellow-junior Mizdail won the NTL 1600 meter run, was 4th at Districts and 9th at States and was 1st, 3rd and 9th in the 3200 meter run.

Wellsboro’s Aiden Gehman was the runner-up in the long jump at Districts and finished 17th at States and also placed 6th at Districts in the triple jump, making the senior our All-Tioga County Outstanding Field Athlete.

The All-Tioga County Track & Field Outstanding Rookie is Wellsboro freshman Jonathan Carl, who won the 400 at the NTL meet and placed 8th at Districts, while also taking 5th in the NTL in the 100 meter dash.
