NORTH PENN-LIBERTY'S HALEY LITZELMAN LEADS 'FAB 5' NEWCOMERS OF THE SPRING (2023-06-20)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — To recognize the outstanding contributions made by our first-year athletes this past season, we present our All-Tioga County ‘Fab 5’ Girl Newcomers of the Spring, led by North Penn-Liberty freshman softball player Haley Litzelman.
All-Tioga County Newcomer of the Spring
Haley Litzelman, NP-Liberty softball, fr. .. .402 batting average with 33 base hits (8 doubles, 1 triple, 4 HR), 26 runs scored and 36 RBI. The freshman also threw 23 innings and had a 3-0 record with a 0.61 ERA and 38 strikeouts for the NTL and District 4 Champion Lady Mounties.
Remaining ‘Fab 5’ Newcomers of the Spring
Zeraya Wilson, CV softball, fr. .. .341 BA and 15 base hits for the small-school NTL Champion Lady Indians.
Kenna Thomas, Williamson softball, fr. .. hit .422 with 19 base hits (7-2B, 2 HR) and 10 runs scored, as well as serving as another pitching arm for the Lady Warriors.
Kristina Belz, Wellsboro Track & Field, fr. .. placed 6th at NTL’s in high jump, 7th in long jump and 15th in the 300 hurdles.
Ella Churchill, CV softball, so. .. first-year player hit .300 with 12 base hits.
