ALL-TIOGA COUNTY 'SUPER 7' FEMALE ATHLETES OF THE SPRING (2023-06-22)

Northern Tier West Sports Report
TIOGA COUNTY — There were plenty of outstanding season-long performances by our female athletes in the West, highlighted by our All-Tioga County ’Super 7’ Athletes of the Spring.

Athlete of the Spring
Mackenzi Tice, NP-Liberty Softball, jr. .. The All-Tioga County Softball Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year went 19-1 in the circle for the Lady Mounties, throwing 136 innings with a 1.24 ERA and 195 strikeouts. At the plate, Tice hit .484 with a .505 on-base-percentage and had 46 base hits (13 doubles, 1 HR), 33 runs scored and 21 RBI for the NTL and District 4 Champion Lady Mounties.

Rest of the ’Super 7’ .. 
Annie Gehman, Wellsboro Track & Field, so. .. won an NTL and a District 4 title in the triple jump and was a consistent threat in both the long jump (4th-NTL, 13th-D4) and the high jump (3rd-NTL).

Ruby Sherman, CV Softball, jr. .. hit .549 with 28 base hits and was the NTL Champion Lady Indians’ ace.

Saige Lehman, NP-Liberty Softball, jr. ..  NTWSR All-Tioga County Softball Defensive Player of the Year was vital to the Mounties both behind the plate and at it .. hitting .341 with 28 base hits, 27 runs scored and 13 RBI.

Sarah Seeling, Wellsboro Track & Field, jr. .. finished 3rd at the NTL meet in the 300 and 7th in the 100 .. and a part of the First Team 4x100 meter relay team, is the All-Tioga County Outstanding Girls Track Athlete.

Haley Litzelman, NP-Liberty Softball, fr. .. .402 batting average with 33 base hits (8 doubles, 1 triple, 4 HR), 26 runs scored and 36 RBI. The freshman also threw 23 innings and had a 3-0 record with a 0.61 ERA and 38 strikeouts for the NTL and District 4 Champion Lady Mounties.

Katie Adams, CV Softball, jr. .. NTL-II Champion Lady Indians’ leadoff hitter had a .368 average with 21 base hits.
