LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: SOUTHERN TIOGA 11U FALLS IN SECTIONAL PLAY (2023-07-14) Northern Tier West Sports Report DANVILLE — District 15 11U champion Southern Tioga suffered a loss in their first round Sectional game here Friday, falling 10-3 to District 12 champ Keystone.
Southern Tioga fell behind 2-0 before tying the score with a pair of runs in the fourth inning, but Keystone struck for four runs in their half of the fourth to take a 6-2 lead.
Southern Tioga added their final run in the fifth inning when Bridger Lehman walked and eventually scored on a passed ball, but Keystone would pull away with a four-run fifth for the 10-3 win.
The loss drops Southern Tioga into the consolation bracket of the double-elimination tournament. They’ll play on Saturday in Danville at 2:00 p.m. against the loser between District 13 champ Berwick and Blue Mountain, winners of District 24. (Results were not posted)
