LITTLE LEAGUE SOFTBALL: WELLSBORO 11U WINS STATE PLAYOFF OPENER (2023-07-28) Northern Tier West Sports Report WELLSBORO — The 11U little Lady Hornets from Wellsboro, hosts of this year’s State softball tournament, pulled off an upset in the first round by downing District 32 / Section 5 champ Wallenpaupack 13-3 here Friday.
Wellsboro will now play Williamsport (District 12 / Section 3 champ) on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Williamsport beat Bald Eagle (District 5 / Section 4 champ) 15-0 Friday.
The State 11U softball tournament will continue through Wednesday, August 2nd.
