Northern Tier West Sports Report
TIOGA COUNTY — West boys soccer teams will soon be back on the pitch, and with that, here are our preseason All-Tioga County Super 7 boys soccer players.

’22 league champ Wellsboro loses a lot, as Peyton McClure, Jack Poirier, Sam Rudy and Aiden Gehman all graduated. McClure was the Overall and the Defensive Player of the Year last season, while Poirier was the Offensive Player of the Year, Rudy was a first-team midfielder and Gehman was the Goalie of the Year.

NP-Liberty, who finished 5-8 in the NTL and 6-12 overall last season, lost no players to graduation, while Williamson .. 7-2-3 in the NTL, 10-6-3 overall .. will look to replace first-teamers Trent Achey, Duncan Kerr, Cody Peers and Robert Kipferl.

7. Lucas Cuneo, Wellsboro, junior — 6 goals, 7 assists in 2022.

6. Kade Ficks, Williamson, junior — ’21 All-Tioga County Newcomer; 4 goals, 6 assists in ’22.

5. Alex Citrino, Wellsboro, junior — ’22 All-Tioga County Newcomer of the Year; 5 goals, 13 assists last season.

4. Brady Stetter, NP-Liberty, junior — 2022 All-Tioga County; 19 goals, 3 assists.

3. Loagan Stickler, Williamson, junior —returning starting goalie for the Warriors.

2. Zack Wilcox, NP-Liberty, senior — ’22 All-Tioga County; 14 goals, 15 assists.

1. Caden Smith, Wellsboro, senior — Smith had a legitimate case to be named both the Offensive and Overall Player of the Year last season, collecting 25 goals for the NTL champs and adding six assists. Look for an even bigger ’23 from Smith as he leads the young Hornets.

Also considered ..

* Deakon Valentine, NP-Liberty, soph.

* Will Gehman, Williamson, senior
