TIOGA COUNTY, PA — Northern Tier WEST Sports Report is pleased to recognize the outstanding individual performances put forth over the past seven days by our ‘Laurel Health Athletes of the Week’.

GOLF
Jordan Vargeson, Cowanesque Valley, took low honors with a 76 at the weekly NTL match, held on his home course, River Valley Country Club.

GIRLS TENNIS
Hannah Nuss, Wellsboro, came back from losing the first set to edge CV’s Kylee Stone 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1 Singles in the Indians’ 3-2 win. 

GIRLS SOCCER
Maddie Bailey, Williamson, scored two goals in the Warriors’ 4-0 win over Towanda, had a goal in their 3-0 win over Sullivan County and scored twice more in an 8-1 rout of Campbell-Savona.

BOYS SOCCER
Brady Stetter, North Penn-Liberty, had a goal in the Mounties’ 4-3, double overtime win over NEB, scored all three of NPL’s goals in a 3-2 win over Towanda and had two goals in a 6-1 victory over Northern Potter.

FOOTBALL
Karson Dominick, North Penn-Mansfield, finished 10-18 with 151 passing yards and two touchdown passes, rushed for two more scores and had an interception in the Panthers’ first win, a 39-15 rout of Northwest. 

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Lauren Kosek, Wellsboro, was the top finisher for the Lady Hornets in a 12-16 loss to South Williamsport, winning in 22:40.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Max Macias, Wellsboro, was the top runner for the Hornets in a 15-50 win over South Williamsport, finishing 1st in 20:49.

VOLLEYBALL
Raegan VanGorden, Williamson, had 38 assists and seven digs in a loss to NEB, 30 assists, 16 digs and eight aces in a win over CV and 29 assists, three digs and two kills in a win over Galeton.
