NTL GOLF: VARGESON TAKES LOW HONORS AT FINAL LEAGUE MATCH (2023-09-25)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportCHEMUNG, NY — Jordan Vargeson won low honors with a five-over par 74 at the final NTL golf match of the season here Monday, leading the Indians to a fourth-place finish.
Vargeson had a birdie on the par-four 3rd hole and shot a 38 on the front nine and birdied the par-three 13th to shoot a 36 on the back for his round of 74.
Nick West and Danny Smith tied for 20th place with 96’s and Layla Hacket shot a 99 to round out CV’s scoring. Adam Maynor (105) and Kaden Cole (108) also competed.
League champ Athens stayed undefeated on the season with a low-aggregate score of 328, followed by Wyalusing with 345, Towanda with 360, CV with 365, Wellsboro with 392, North Penn-Mansfield with 393 and Sayre with 591.
Cowanesque Valley finishes with a record of 14-28 on the season .. sixth among the league’s seven teams.
