NTL CROSS COUNTRY : TIGERS HOST TRI-MEET WITH NEB AND TROY (2023-09-26)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — North Penn-Mansfield hosted a tri-meet with Northeast Bradford and Troy here Tuesday with the girls going 1-1 on the day and the boys’ squad getting swept.
On the girls’ side, NP-Mansfield took five of the top-7 spots against Troy and beat the Trojans 26-34, but NEB had the top-2 finishers and beat the Tigers 23-32. The Panthers also topped Troy, 21-40.
Freshman Jaci Fairchild (20:43) finished third overall for the Tigers, followed by Madelynne Johns (21:08) in fifth place, Addison Farrer (22:00) in eighth, Madalyn Farrer (23:18) in 11th, Nora Furry (23:24) in 12th, Kendelle Holleran (24:37) in 13th, Carolyn Cherwinski (24:38) in 14th, Liv Lisowski (25:21) in 16th and Moira Wheeler (25:31) in 17th place.
For the boys, freshman Michael Knefley (17:18) finished second overall behind NEB’s Creed Dewing (16:50) and the Tigers’ next best finishers were Jude Rohl (19:41) and Cedric Miller (19:42) in 17th and 18th place. Luke Tice (22:34) was 24th and Colton Brion (25:50) finished 27th.
NEB topped North Penn-Mansfield 19-44, while Troy beat the Tigers 20-43. The Panthers beat Troy 17-41 for the sweep.
