NTL BOYS SOCCER: WARRIORS KEEP ROLLING WITH CONVINCING WIN OVER ATHENS (2023-09-27) Northern Tier West Sports Report TIOGA JUNCTION — The Warriors earned their third shutout and 11th win of the season here Wednesday, beating Athens 3-0 in a key NTL boys’ soccer match-up.
Hayden Plunkert scored just five minutes into the match and the 1-0 lead stood until the 67th minute when Plunkert scored his second goal. Braeden Colwell would complete the scoring with a goal with four minutes left.
Warrior keeper Loagan Strickler had five saves in goal.
The Warriors, now 11-0 overall and 6-0 in the NTL, are scheduled to host Northern Potter on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The Warriors won 8-0 over the Panthers earlier in the season.
