TIOGA COUNTY — A quick look at how some of our former West athletes and their teams are doing at the collegiate level this Fall.

Wellsboro’s Caitlyn Callahan, University of North Carolina-Wilmington Volleyball .. senior leads 8-12 Seahawks in points (178.5) and blocks (57) and is second in kills (146).

Cowanesque Valley grad Seth Neal, Mansfield University Cross Country .. junior was Mounties’ highest finisher at recent PSAC Championships .. 34th place (27:43.7).

Wellsboro alum Hunter Brown, Eastern Kentucky Football .. redshirt junior has helped Colonels to 3-3 record with 13 receptions and 201 yards, including TD catch in season-opening loss to Cincinnati.

Former North Penn-Liberty Mountie Ali Koval, Lycoming College Volleyball .. junior leads 13-8 Lady Warriors with 419 digs (5.99/set), including a season-high of 36 in a 3-1 win over Penn State-Altoona.

Wellsboro grad Megan Starkweather, Lycoming College Volleyball .. is a senior member of the Warriors’ volleyball team.

Wellsboro’s Gabe Leach, Lock Haven University Men’s Soccer .. redshirt senior has played 1,126 minutes as a starting defender for the 6-6-3 Bald Eagles.

Williamson alum Jules Jones, Canisius Cross Country .. senior finished 156th at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh in 22:10.7 and most recently placed 3rd at the Canisius Alumni Classic, in 17:49.4.

Wellsboro grad Cathryn Brought, Lycoming College Swimming .. won 50-yard free (25.45) and 100-yard free (55.49) in 2-0 Warriors’ win over Albright and 50 free (25.25), 100 free (56.02) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.85) in win over Lebanon Valley.

North Penn-Liberty grad Darby Stetter, York College Volleyball .. freshman outside hitter has played 40 sets for the 15-9 Spartans with 64 kills and 133 points.

Cowanesque Valley alum Mikey Sipps, Lycoming College Football .. sophomore has recorded 16 tackles and is tied for team-lead in sacks (2.0) for 2-5 Warriors.

Williamson grad Kaylee Sargent, Keystone College Volleyball .. sophomore has 155 digs, 13 assists, 31.0 points and five kills for 11-9 Giants.

Wellsboro’s Luke Leach, Lycoming College Men’s Tennis .. senior went 2-3 at No. 1 Singles and 2-2 in Doubles during the Warriors’ Fall schedule.

Former NPL Mountie Grace Tice, Bethany (WV) College Volleyball .. was recognized as one of nine seniors in the Bison 3-0 sweep of Westminster and had two kills and a dig in the win.

Former Cowanesque Valley XC/Williamson T&F athlete Nathaniel Welch, Bloomsburg Cross Country .. finished 127th (31:34.1) at the PSAC Championships for 8th-place Huskies.

Wellsboro grad Cameron Brought, Alfred University Football .. freshman has seen playing time on the defensive line and had a sack and a forced fumble in the Saxons’ season-opening loss to Hobart .. had two tackles in 28-0 loss to Utica on Saturday.

Williamson alum Riley Sargent, Corning Community College Volleyball .. sophomore leads the 2-15 Red Barons with 113 assists and 20 blocks and has 97 digs and 53 kills.

North Penn-Mansfield grad John Minnich, Lock Haven Football .. senior starting offensive lineman has helped LHU to a 4-4 record and the No. 3 scoring offense in the PSAC at 33.4 points per game.

Wellsboro alum Georgia Macensky, Pennsylvania College of Technology Women’s Tennis .. helped Wildcats to 2-1 Fall record, going 3-0 at No. 2 Doubles with partner Faith Murray and 1-2 in Singles matches. Spring schedule starts April 3rd.

Wellsboro’s Ty Morral, Millersville Golf .. senior was pivotal member of PSAC Championship team, averaging a 77.6 over 10 rounds on the Marauders’ season.

Former NP-Liberty Mountie Maddison Minyo, Cedarcrest College Volleyball .. senior has played 37 sets for the 11-8 Falcons with 79 kills and 84 digs.
