Northern Tier West Sports Report
ATHENS — Williamson fell behind Troy 2-0, rallied to force a fifth set but ultimately fell to Troy 3-2 in District IV Class 2A volleyball playoff action here Saturday.

Troy won the first two sets 25-23 and 25-18, before the Warriors took the next two, 25-22 and 25-20. The Trojans took the fifth set 15-9 to advance.

Taylor Rae Jones finished with five aces, 27 digs and 14 kills while Raegan VanGorden added two aces, 14 digs, 31 assists and three kills and Joelie Stephens had three aces, 22 digs and two kills.

Leah Earl had 11 digs and four kills, Bailey Snyder had five  aces and two digs, Abby Gehman had five digs and eight kills, Jocilyn Strange had six kills and a block and Mikenna Buchanan had seven digs, a kill and two blocks.
