The Mounties fell behind the Warriors 13-1 after a quarter of play .. as a Kaylee Graham free throw would account for NPL’s lone point in the frame .. before they went on a 16-0 run in the second quarter and took a 17-13 lead into the break. 

NPL spread the ball around in their big second quarter, as Haley Litzelman, Graham, Tierney Patterson and Kendall Graham each had four points. But in the second half, a Nikki Kiscadden 3-pointer in the fourth quarter was the only bucket of the half as Canton outscored the visitors 23-10 to pull out the win. 

Litzelman led Liberty with eight points, while Kaylee Graham had six, Kiscadden had five and Patterson and Kendall Graham each added four points.

For North Penn-Liberty, the loss snaps a two-game winning streak and leaves the Mounties at 4-3 on the season and 1-1 in the NTL-II. They’ll look to rebound on Wednesday, January 3rd when they host the winless Sayre Lady Redskins. 

Canton also won the JV game, topping the Mounties 20-13.
