Mansfield scored two runs in the first inning when Kyle Davis doubled, scoring Cameron Fabian, who reached after being hit by a pitch. Davis would later score on an error.

Sayre scored three runs in the first, and Mansfield tied the game at three in the fourth inning when Cody Hermansen doubled and was driven in by a Jake Evans single.

Kyle Davis led Mansfield at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Hermansen added a double and a run scored, while Evans had a hit and an RBI.

Kohen Lehman led the fifth off with a single, then scored on a groundout by Easton Pequinot to give Mansfield the 4-3 lead. 

Sayre scored two in the bottom of the fifth to re-take the lead and held on for the 5-4 win.

Karson Dominick went three innings for Mansfield, allowing three earned runs on four hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.

Lehman threw three innings in relief, allowing two earned runs on four hits with no walks and five strikeouts.

Mansfield will return to action Monday when they host Towanda.
