LEGION BASEBALL: TROY, FEATURING WEST PLAYERS, SPLITS PAIR OF GAMES THIS WEEK (2021-06-17) Northern Tier West Sports Report TROY — The Troy legion baseball team, featuring a pair of players from Williamson, split a pair of games with Valley teams this week, topping Athens Wednesday and falling 7-3 to Sayre on Thursday.
Troy managed five hits against Sayre, with Williamson players Gabe Kaufman and Eric Berkan providing a hit each.
Berkan also pitched two innings for Troy, allowing three runs (zero earned) on one hit, two walks and a strikeout.
Troy will return to action Monday when they host the legion squad from Canton.
