NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: WARRIORS PUSH, FALL TO SMALL SCHOOL LEADER NORTHEAST BRADFORD (2024-02-01)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION, Pa — Williamson took a lead into the fourth quarter against NTL-II leader Northeast Bradford here Thursday night, but the Panthers rallied for a big fourth quarter and downed the now 2-16 Warriors, 52-44.
Kristian Mizdail led the Warriors with 20 points and Jack Nolan added 15. Seth Zimmerman had five points and Maddox Hartman and Izaiah Croft each had two points.
Mizdail (8) and Nolan (6) accounted for all of Williamson’s first quarter points and took a 14-12 lead into the second. The Warriors held NEB to four points in the frame and took a 25-16 lead into halftime.
The Panthers cut the deficit to six with a 12-9 third quarter, then exploded for 24 fourth quarter points to complete the comeback.
Williamson (2-16, 0-14 NTL, 0-8 small school) is scheduled to host North Penn-Liberty on Tuesday.
