NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: LADY MOUNTIES TAKE DOWN REDSKINS FOR SMALL SCHOOL WIN (2024-02-02)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportSAYRE — North Penn-Liberty opened up a double-digit halftime lead against Sayre here Friday and made it hold up as they earned a 44-34 win over the host Lady Redskins.
The Lady Mounties took leads of 13-4 after the first quarter, 20-9 at the break and 30-16 into the fourth quarter. Sayre put up 18 points in the final frame but Liberty countered with a 14-point quarter .. nine from Tierney Patterson and five from Kendall Graham.
Graham and Patterson each finished with 15 points and Patterson added eight rebounds while Kendall had four.
Haley Litzelman had nine points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots, while Kaylee Graham added two points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals, Olivia Smith had two points and six rebounds and Ciara Kieser had one point and four rebounds.
The win is Liberty’s second straight and they stand at 8-9 overall on the season and 4-4 in the NTL-II. They’re scheduled to host Troy on Monday.
