NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: NP-LIBERTY ROLLS TO LOPSIDED WIN OVER WILLIAMSON (2024-02-06)

TIOGA JUNCTION, Pa — The Mounties built a 31 point lead by the break and put four players in double figures as they rolled to an 83-41 win over the Warriors here Tuesday night.

Luke Kreger scored 12 fourth quarter points and led the Mounties with a game-high 22, while Carter Grinnell scored 15 points and Louis Mercantino and Blake Oakley each had 14. 

Daniel Harman added seven points, Adynn Wheeland had five, Evan McTish had four points and Jacob Brown had two.

Jack Nolan led Williamson with 13 points while Kristian Mizdail had 12, Izaiah Croft had four points, Phil Robertson, Braxton Watson and Gabe Crane each had three points, Seth Zimmerman had two and Maddox Hartman had one point.

Grinnell had 13 first quarter points and Oakley added eight as Liberty led 28-12 after the first quarter. Kreger had eight points in the second frame and Mercantino had five and Oakley added four in a 22-7 Liberty second quarter and a 50-19 halftime lead. 

The Mounties edged Williamson 13-11 in the third and 20-11 in the fourth behind Kreger’s dozen.

North Penn-Liberty (9-10, 6-8 NTL, 4-5 small school) is scheduled to next visit Northeast Bradford on Thursday, while Williamson (2-17, 0-15 NTL, 0-9 small school) hosts Canton, also on Thursday.
