WYALUSING — Williamson built a 22-point halftime lead over the host Rams and rolled to a 71-40 win in NTL girls large school basketball play here Wednesday.

Taylor Rae Jones hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Lady Warriors. Olivia Meisner added 18 points while Madisen Jones and Avery Vinsek each had eight points, Kenna Thomas had seven, Maeve Ficks scored three points and Olivia Nolan had two points.

The Warriors got eight early points from Taylor Rae Jones and four from Thomas as they took a 16-9 lead over the Lady Rams after the first quarter. TR Jones scored 10 more points in the second quarter while Meisner had six and Madisen Jones and Thomas each hit a three as Williamson took a 38-16 lead at the break.

A 16-13 Williamson third quarter and their 17-11 fourth provided the final. 

Williamson, now 17-3 overall on the season, 14-2 in the league and 7-2 in the NTL-I, have two regular season games remaining, starting on Friday at Athens. The Warriors won the teams’ previous meeting, 46-16.
