Sayre took an early 11-8 lead over CV and the Indians came up shy in a 10-9 second quarter to leave the Redskins with a 21-17 lead at the break. 

Jordan Vargeson scored seven points, Kaden Cole hit two 3-pointers and Larsen Swimley added four points in a 21-20 Indian third quarter that cut the lead to 41-38 before Sayre hit four threes and pulled away with a 23-13 final quarter.

Vargeson led CV with 17 points while Carter Ackley added 12 points, Swimley had 10 and Fletcher Good and Cole each had six points.

Cowanesque Valley falls to 12-9 overall on the season with the loss, to 9-5 in the league and to 7-3 in the NTL-II. The Indians have one regular season game remaining .. on Tuesday at home against North Penn-Mansfield.
