HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL: LADY MOUNTIES DROP NON-LEAGUE GAME TO MEADOWBROOK (2024-02-08)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportMILTON, Pa — North Penn-Liberty took the second quarter from D4 Class A-leading Meadowbrook Christian here Thursday, but couldn’t keep up with the Lady Lions and fell, 47-27.
After 18-1 Meadowbrook took an early 20-10 lead, the Mounties came back with a 12-9 second frame to go into the locker rooms down 29-22.
Haley Litzelman scored 8 points in the second and finished with 13 points to lead the Lady Mounties. She added 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocked shots. Kaylee Graham added 7 points and 6 rebounds, while Tierney Patterson had three points and Olivia Smith and Kendall Graham each had two.
The Mounties were held to one field goal .. by Kaylee Graham .. and three free throws in the second half as MCA pulled away for the win.
Liberty, now 8-12 overall on the season, remains 5-10 in the NTL and 4-5 in the small school division. They have two regular season games left .. starting tonight, Friday, at Northeast Bradford.
