NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: WILLIAMSON FALLS TO CANTON (2024-02-08)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION, Pa — The visiting Canton Warriors used a big third quarter .. and 34 points from Ben Fitch .. to down the host Williamson Warriors 54-40 in a match-up of the two bottom squads in the NTL small school division here Thursday.
Jack Nolan led Williamson with 17 points, while Kristian Mizdail added 11 points, Seth Zimmerman had seven and Izaiah Croft had two.
Canton took a 14-8 lead after one and the teams played to a 10-10 draw in the second to leave Canton’s halftime lead at 24-18.
Fitch scored 16 third quarter points as Canton pulled away and led 48-29 going into the final quarter. Nolan netted five points in the fourth and Williamson edged Canton 11-10 to provide the final.
Williamson, now 2-18 on the season, have one game remaining .. Saturday afternoon at Galeton.
