Kameron Lightner had tied the game at 35 for the Lady Tigers with 45 seconds left in the contest before Towanda’s Maynard hit a jumper from the foul line for the game-winner.

After a 10-10 first quarter, Towanda took the second frame 9-7 for a 19-17 advantage at the break. A 10-8 third for the Lady Knights extended their lead to four at 29-25 as they entered the fourth.

Towanda opened the final frame with a bucket before Kameron Lightner answered to keep the Knight lead at four .. 31-27. Towanda hit a 3-pointer, but the Lady Tigers went on a 6-0 run .. featuring baskets by Raegan Watkins-Bourret, Kameron and Mckenna Lightner .. to cut the lead to one at 34-33 with 1:23 left in regulation. 

The Lady Knights hit 1-of-2 free throws to go up 35-33 before Kameron Lightner’s bucket set up Towanda’s game-winner.

Kameron led Mansfield with 11 points in the game while sister Mckenna Lightner and Elaina Shaw each had seven points, Watkins-Bourret had five, Addison Hill and Claire Dominick each had two and Ella Swingle had one point. 

The Lady Tigers .. 13-9 overall, 10-7 NTL, 7-3 small school .. finished the season second in the NTL-II and will play large-school champ Troy in the NTL Showdown at Troy on Thursday.
