MILTON, Pa — The 8th-seeded North Penn-Liberty Lady Mounties will open the District 4 Class A playoffs on the road with a trip to Milton to take on top-seeded Meadowbrook Christian on Wednesday.

The Lady Mounties finished the regular season 8-14 .. including a 6-4 start before going 2-10 in the second half of the season. One of those late-season losses was to Meadowbrook as Liberty was beaten 47-27 by the Lady Warriors on February 8th.

Meadowbrook earned the top seed in Class A with a 19-1 record .. including a 14-0 start before suffering their lone loss of the season .. 47-37 to No. 3 Class A seed Lourdes Regional (14-8).

In their previous match-up, Meadowbrook took an early 20-10 lead before the Mounties came back with a 12-9 second frame to go into the locker rooms down just 7 .. 29-22. 

Haley Litzelman scored 8 points in that second quarter and finished with 13 points to lead the Lady Mounties. She added 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocked shots. Kaylee Graham added 7 points and 6 rebounds, while Tierney Patterson had three points and Olivia Smith and Kendall Graham each had two.

The Mounties were held to one field goal .. by Kaylee Graham .. and three free throws in the second half as Meadowbrook pulled away for their 19th win.

Litzelman has averaged a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds per game this season and adds 3.3 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.6 blocked shots per contest. 

Patterson scores 7.7 points per game and grabs 7.5 boards per game while Kaylee Graham averages 6.5 points, 2.3 steals and 2.1 assists per game. 

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
