COLLEGE BASKETBALL: FORMER LADY HORNET COOLIDGE FINISHES SOPHOMORE SEASON STRONG FOR JUNIATA (2024-03-12)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportJUNIATA, Pa — Wellsboro grad Emma Coolidge had a strong finish to her sophomore season on the hardwoods for Juniata, helping the Eagles to three late wins and a 5-20 record on the year.
Coolidge averaged 3.8 points and 3 rebounds per game on the season for Juniata, who were 2-17 as they hosted Lycoming on January 31st. Coolidge scored a then-career high 14 points and the Eagles snapped a 6-game losing streak with a 71-64 win.
On February 7th, Coolidge scored 15 points in a 73-50 loss to Catholic, then followed it up with a career-high 19 points in a 76-51 Juniata win over Goucher. The Eagles won their third game of their last six against Moravian, 57-52, with Coolidge chipping in two points and three boards in 11 minutes.
With her second season with Juniata’s basketball team in the books, Coolidge will now return to the women’s Track & Field team after a successful freshman season throwing for the Eagles last year.
