NEB’S KOLESAR NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Kolesar went 3-2 at the first ever PIAA Girls’ Wrestling Championship to earn a fourth-place medal.
She opened the tournament with wins over 6-4 and 5-1 to reach the quarterfinals, where she lost to the eventual state champion.
Kolesar won her consolation semifinal 4-1, then finished out the tournament with a loss in the bronze-medal match.

CORNING’S KENNEDY NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS “ATHLETE OF THE WEEK”
Kennedy
had the highest series at the Division 2 State Championships, shot a
300 game, and helped Corning win the team state title.
Kennedy
shot a 1,381 on the day, the highest series in the field. His first game
was a 300 game. He finished with a 754 series in the morning and 627 in
the afternoon, helping Corning shoot 6,264 as a team to win by 101
pins.
