Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The All-Tioga County Wrestling Team is highlighted by North Penn-Liberty junior Brayden Pequignot as the ‘Wrestler of the Year’ and brother Bryce as the 'Newcomer of the Year' for the 2023-24 season.
Brayden Pequignot was the runner-up at 121 pounds at the North Sectional, placed 4th at Districts and again at Regionals to qualify for the PIAA Championships in Hershey. He finished the season 33-12 with his final victory coming at States.
Brayden’s younger brother Bryce Pequignot is the All-Tioga County Wrestling ’Newcomer of the Year’ after going 33-8 in his freshman season with a Sectional title at 107 pounds, a 3rd-place finish at Districts, a runner-up finish at Regionals and an appearance at the PIAA Class 2A Championships.
