HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: WILLIAMSON ROLLS IN 17-0 SEASON OPENING WIN (2024-03-25)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION, PA — Williamson pounded out 13 base hits and got a 3-inning no-hitter from senior Seth Zimmerman as the Warriors rolled to a 17-0 win in their season opener against Northern Potter here Monday.
Zimmerman walked two and struck out six in the win and added a run scored as the Warriors jumped out to an 8-0 lead after one inning. Williamson added seven runs in the 2nd frame and their final two runs in the 3rd.
Owen Cilino and Danny Smith each had three base hits for Williamson with Smith scoring four runs and Cilino collecting a double and a run scored.
Jack Nolan had a pair of base hits and two runs scored for Williamson while Christian Ling, Alex Wilson, Westin Copp and Landon Carlin each had a single and Sawyer Carleton had a double.
Carlin scored three runs while Ling and Copp each scored twice and Carleton and Harlow Little each scored once.
Williamson is scheduled to visit Northeast Bradford on Tuesday.
