NTL SOFTBALL: CV ROLLS OVER HOST LADY WARRIORS, 21-2 (2024-03-26)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportCANTON, PA — Cowanesque Valley pounded out 16 hits and rolled over the host Lady Warriors 21-2 in the Lady Indians’ season opener here Tuesday.
CV scored five runs in the first inning, 11 in the second and five in the fourth while Canton scored their two runs in the second frame.
Ashley Woodring had three base hits .. including a homerun and a double .. and added two RBI and two runs scored, while Laynie LaBarron had two hits .. with a homer .. four RBI and two runs scored.
Keyana Thomas had two hits, two RBI and a run scored, Katie Adams had two hits and scored three times and Maddie Millard, Zeraya Wilson, Ruby Sherman, Logan Hamilton, Ella Churchill, Tabitha Piper and T Eldridge each had a base hit.
Sherman had three RBI and scored once, Millard had two RBI and scored twice and Wilson had two RBI and scored four times. Churchill, Eldridge and Piper each had an RBI and Keana Mann, Thomas, Eldridge and Piper each scored once and Churchill scored three runs.
CV (1-0) will host Northern Potter on Wednesday for their home opener.
