NTL TRACK & FIELD: WILLIAMSON BOYS AND GIRLS TEAMS EACH SWEEP CANTON QUAD MEET (2024-04-02)

CANTON, PA — The Williamson Track & Field teams both swept an NTL quad meet here Tuesday as the girls and boys teams each outpaced Northeast Bradford, Towanda and the host Canton Warriors. 

The Williamson girls scored 88 points to beat Northeast Bradford (66), Canton (56) and Towanda (49) while winning four events on the day. 

Junior Olivia Meisner won the shot put (31-08), freshman Aubrey Wells won the long jump (13-07.50), junior Kylee Stone won the triple jump (28-06.50) and the 4x100 meter relay squad of senior Kyra Daley, sophomore Anna Lee, junior Jade Colwell and sophomore Madalynn Bailey also took first (56.4). 

Meisner placed 2nd in the javelin (73-10) and 3rd in the discus (64-05), while Wells was 2nd in the 100 hurdles (18.7) and 3rd in the 300 hurdles (56.5) and Stone finished 4th in the 100 hurdles (19.1) and 5th in the 300 hurdles (59.8). 

Junior Tori Stratton had a pair of runner-up finishes .. in the 3200 meter run (14:22.0) and the 800 (2:42.7) .. and placed 3rd in the 1600 (6:07.0) while Bailey was 2nd in the 400 (1:06.0) and 3rd in the 100 meter dash (14.0) and Colwell was 2nd in the 100 (13.7) and 3rd in the 200 (30.3). 

Lee was 3rd in the 400 (1:11.6) while senior Madison Schoonover was 3rd in the triple jump (26-02.50) and 5th in the high jump (4-02), freshmen Robyn Cummings (14:28.0) and Clare McKee (14:38.0) were 3rd and 4th in the 3200, sophomore Raegan VanGorden placed 4th in both the 1600 (6:14.0) and the 800 (2:50.8), junior Miriah Buck placed 5th in the 800 (2:56.3) and freshman Sayde Loucks was 5th in the shot put (27-03). 

On the boys’ side, Williamson won five events to score 80 points, edging Towanda (76) and topping both NEB (57) and Canton (44). 

Sophomore Braeden Colwell won the 100 meter dash (12.0), sophomore Jeavon Eick won the 800 (2:21.4), senior Skylar Hughes won the 200 (25.5), junior Steven Hepfer won the triple jump (33-11.50) and senior Ean Bump won the high jump (5-02). 

Hughes was 2nd in the long jump (16-10.00) while Colwell was 2nd in the 200 (25.7), junior Aiden O’Neal was 2nd in the 100 (12.2), sophomore Jacob Johnson placed 2nd in the discus (98-06) and junior Jordan Monroe was 2nd in the 400 meter dash (55.8). 

Hepfer placed 3rd in the long jump (16-06), followed by seniors Gavin Cloos (16-01.50) and Tanner Robbins (14-07.25) in 4th and 5th place , while Bump placed 3rd in the javelin (101-00) with Cloos (88.05) in 5th and Eick was 3rd in the 400 (57.4) with sophomore Carsyn Kemp placing 5th (1:01.0). Kemp was also 5th in the 100 meter dash (12.5) while sophomore Parker Rowland placed 5th in the high jump (4-06).

Junior Michael Lundy placed 3rd in the 3200 meter run (11:53.5) and was 5th in the 1600 (5:29.0) while sophomore Joshua Teague was 3rd in the triple jump (32-11) .. followed by sophomore Troy Madison in 4th (25-11.00) .. and 4th in the 110 hurdles (21.6) .. followed by freshman Levi Wood (23.0) in 5th.
