Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportSHIPPENSBURG — North Penn-Mansfield senior Zack Wilcox competed in the 800 meter run at the 97th Roddick HS Invitational here Saturday, earning a 2nd place finish in the highly competitive event.
Wilcox’s time of 1:58.60 breaks the senior’s own North Penn-Mansfield record in the 800.
Wilcox entered the race seeded 8th and finished behind only event winner Carter Smith, a sophomore from Mifflin County who ran a 1:55.14.
