The teams each scored a run in the first and went scoreless in the second. The Lady Warriors then scored four innings in a row .. plating four runs in the third, three in the fourth, five in the fifth and their final four in the sixth.

Mikenna Buchanan led a potent offensive attack, collecting six RBI on a double and two singles and scoring two runs, while Olivia Gee helped her own cause in the circle with three base hits at the plate .. including an inside-the-park home run and four runs scored.

Gee threw six innings and allowed four runs (2 earned) on six Sayre hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. 

Kenna Thomas had a triple and a double and added an RBI and four runs scored, while Kaegan Short had a double, two RBI and scored once, Lexi Smalley had a base hit, walked four times and scored five runs and Rylee Bir had Williamson’s remaining hit. 

Williamson, now 4-8 overall on the season and 3-4 in the small school division, is scheduled to return to play on Wednesday at Addison.
