NTWSR PRESENTS THE LAUREL HEALTH 'ATHLETES OF THE WEEK' (2024-05-26)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY, PA — This week’s Laurel Health ‘Athletes of the Week’ are Wellsboro freshman Piper Hoprich and North Penn-Mansfield’s Zack Wilcox.
Hoprich earned a bronze medal in the 200 meter dash at States, running a 25.57, and finished fourth in the 100 meter dash in 12.23 .. .03 from a top-3 finish.
Wilcox, a senior, was fourth in the fast heat of the 800 meter run in 1:56.42 at States, a race so tight a little over a second behind him was eighth, and a second and a half in front of him was second place.
