NTL FOOTBALL: LARGE GROUP OF COWANESQUE VALLEY ATHLETES ATTENDS D4 COACHES COMBINE (2024-05-29)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Cowanesque Valley football coach Jacob Lane took a large contingent of Indian football players to the District 4 football combine Wednesday, held at Liberty Arena in Williamsport.
Lane took 25 student athletes to the annual event, where players are tested/timed in the 185-pound bench press .. where junior Mason Plank had the most reps of all the Indians with 11 .. the 225-pound bench press .. where junior Tim Freeman topped CV’s efforts with 11 reps .. and the broad and vertical jumps, which sophomore Jeavon Eicks was longest (7-11) and highest (29) for CV.
Eicks was also the quickest Indian in the shuttle run (4.33), the 10-yard dash (1.15) and the 40-yard dash (4.57). His time in the 10-yard dash was 2nd overall among the hundreds of participants, while his 40 time was 3rd overall, just behind fellow-NTL player Mason Smith from Troy and his combine-best 4.55.
