COLLEGE TRACK & FIELD: WELLSBORO'S COOLIDGE A CONFERENCE CHAMP FOR JUNIATA (2024-06-01)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportJUNIATA — Wellsboro alum Emma Coolidge won a league title for the Juniata women’s Track & Field team recently, taking first place in the javelin at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
Coolidge, a sophomore who is also a member of the Juniata women’s basketball team, won the javelin at the ECAC’s with a throw of 30.65 meters (100-06), and also was the runner-up in the shot put for the Eagles with a toss of 10.00 meters (32-09.75).
Coolidge’s championship was one of three that the Juniata women won on their way to a 5th-place finish in the 13-team field.
