COLLEGE SIGNINGS: NP-MANSFIELD'S ADDISON & MADALYN FARRER TO RUN AT D2 LOCK HAVEN (2024-06-07)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportMANSFIELD — North Penn-Mansfield Cross Country and Track & Field standouts and sisters Addison and Madalyn Farrer each recently signed their letter of intent to attend and run collegiately at Division II Lock Haven University.
According to Head Track & Field Coach, Assistant XC Coach and Dad Jim Farrer, “Addison and Madalyn started in the cross country and track programs here as seventh graders and became varsity scorers the first meets of both cross country and track. They served as team captains, were in the top-4 at every meet during the cross country season for a team that finished runner-up NTL Large Schools, runner-up NTL Coaches Invite, Small School Team Champion at the Owego Invite and runner-up at the District IV Championships which earned the team a berth at the PIAA Championships where they finished 11th.”
Addison will be majoring in Early Childhood Education and Madalyn will be taking part in the Accelerated 3 + 2 Physican Assistant program at Lock Haven.
The Lock Haven Women’s Cross Country team is coming off a successful season where the Bald Eagles finished 7th at the PSAC Championships, 7th at the Division II Atlantic Region Championships and had a runner, senior Elaina Klinger, qualify for and run at the DII National Championships, finishing as the 69th best in the country.
