LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL/SOFTBALL ROUND-UP (2024-06-17) Northern Tier WEST Sports Report MANSFIELD — Mother Nature interrupted play for a pair of our area Little League squads on Monday, but the Southern Tioga majors baseball team was able to finish up their 8-3 win over Canton to move to 1-0 in the Mid-West pool.
No other scheduled games were completed, including the other major baseball match-up that had Allegheny Mountain hosting Wellsboro and the Wellsboro minor softball team’s game against Southern Tioga was also suspended.
Action will pick back up on Tuesday as in monors baseball Southern Tioga hosts Elkland and in 11U baseball, Wellsboro hosts Susquehanna County and Tioga-Lawrenceville hosts Athens.
The Southern Tioga major baseball team returns to play on Friday when they visit Troy.
